Okay, so the prologue goes into details about how the "Sensors" took over the earth during the Industrial Revolution. The main character talks about details of what the sensors are and stuff, etc., etc. The actual story starts in the 24th Century. So over time the Sensor's took over the world basically, the humans becoming pets to them. Traditions are started by them, and go on. The main character gets taken away at the daily "waiting" and she screams. They talk to her in her head and torture her. One of the Sensors falls in love with her, and takes her away. One day while she is living with that Sensor (who she doesn't love at all) she is out on a walk behind the Sensor's house and she sees a human boy. He has tan skin (which has been not common, considering that the Sensors are really pale) and he lures her over to him. She finds out that he is part of a rebellion that call themselves "the desensitizers". Thats pretty much it, but i got in about 2,000 last night. Sound any good to you?
